Welcome to Salem Baptist Church
907 Uxbridge Road, Hillingdon Heath, UB10 0NH
Who we are
We are an evangelical Baptist church with people of many different nationalities. Our Pastor is Rev. William (Bill) Kirk.
What we believe
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
- That Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God - fully God and fully man.
- That he lived a perfect life on Earth and
- In his death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of all who will believe in Him.
- Thus, all who receive Him as Lord and Saviour are right with God and know His love now and for all eternity.
What we do .
Sunday services at 11.00 and 6.30
The morning service includes Sunday Club for children from 5-11 and a creche for under 5s. Communion is held on the third Sunday of each month.
The evening service is a smaller, quiet, reflective service. Communion is held on the first Sunday of each month.
There is NO evening service on the third Sunday as we have Messy Church in the afternoon.
When there is a fifth Sunday the service is combined with other local Baptist Churches and may be held in another church.
What else do we do?
Guitar group - An informal group which meets at 5.30 on Sundays to learn to play the guitar. It's challenging, but rewarding. and sometimes we get to play in church. We don't meet on the third Sunday as we have Messy Church.
Messy Church - Happens on the third Sunday of every month from 3.30 to 5.30. It is a time for the whole family to come and enjoy craft activities based on a Bible story, to hear the story (usually quite interactively!), sing some songs, pray, and finally have a meal together. All ages are welcome, but all children must bring an adult - an adult can be shared by several children. Find out more about Messy Church here.
Hayes Cottage Nursing Home - We hold a short service for the residents in the nursing home on Sunday afternoon once every six weeks. Two other local churches share in this work..
Thursday - Housegroup meets at 10.30 (Starting again in September)
Friday - Housegroup meets at 7.30 (Starting again in September)
CAP Money course -
CAP Money is a simple, yet highly effective money management course that teaches people budgeting skills and a cash-based system that really works. This course will help anyone to get more in control of their finances, so they can save, give and prevent debt.
Salem Baptist Church has partnered with Christians Against Poverty to offer CAP Money courses in our community. The service we offer is completely free.
Visit www.capmoney.org.uk to find out more about the course and to see where courses are running in other parts of the country.
